Kaberi Subudhi lives along with her husband and three daughters in Balugaon, Odisha. Kaberi’s husband didn’t have a fixed job due to which the family had struggled to arrange for a square meal for a lot of days. Their condition worsened when their daughters began to grow old and the income wasn’t enough to cover for their expenses. Her eldest daughter being in 12th and the other two in 6th and 1st standard.

One day, Kaberi came to learn about Annapurna’s individual lending model,about the literacy trainings and savings account;through our field staff, and was suddenly convinced to take a loan of INR 45000. With that amount she thought of opening a women’s utility store in a portion in her house, and purchased various products; such as, cosmetics, daily supplies, etc.

As it is the only shop in the locality that provides with women accessories and cosmetics, her business is running smooth now andshe’s happy that Annapurna’s timely support enabled her to bring in the financial stability in her family.
